Face of the day: Reader Inspired!
One of my lovely readers mentioned in the comments of my last FOTD post that she  successfully uses the Badger 30+ sunscreen for daily wear. I was shocked. No, impressed. Nope, jealous of her patience and perseverance. So of course I had to try it.
If you’ve ever used the Badger 30+ sunscreen, you know why I was so perplexed by this admission. This wonderful for the beach Zinc based sunscreen does have the potential to create the dreaded ghost face. Jayebirdi stated that with some massaging, patting and waiting, she made it work. Guess what? She was right! If you are of the pale variety, (I am!) and have the determination (I do!) this can totally work for daily wear. I like having options available, and I already loved what the Badger sunscreen does for my skin, so this is a win for me! Thanks Jayebirdi!
From left to right: Badger SPF 30+ Lavender Sunscreen. Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer. Eco Tools eyeshadow brush. Tarte Beauty & the Box in Brewed Awakening. Honey Bee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder in Supernatural. Real Techniques Powder Brush. Tarte Airblush in Shimmering Peach. Benecos Natural Mascara in Deep Black. Jane Iredale Eyeliner in Black. Tarte Lipgloss in Apple-a-day. Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip stain in Quickstep. RMS Beauty Living Luminzer.
While I really like this Honey Bee Gardens pressed powder, it wasn’t the best choice to go over the oil based sunscreen. It still looked ok, but everything else I used was very.. oily.. in a good way. But in the future, I’ll wear this powder with the DeVita sunscreen. The Tarte Airblush is a personal favorite. Every time I wear it, my husband tells me he loves my makeup that day. Every. Time.
The Josie Maran lip stain under this Tarte gloss created the prettiest natural purple color, and it was the perfect combination with the peachy oranges I was using on the eyes and cheeks. I will definitely wear this combo again.
Now, I am getting ready to take the organic foundation plunge. Tell me! Tell me! What should I get? What are your favorites?
